VORTEX® Pediatric Masks

Designed with pediatric patients in mind

VORTEX® Pediatric Masks are soft, comfortable, and show excellent sealing capabilities even when applied gently to the face.

Metered dose inhalers are an integral part of respiratory therapy but require hand-breath coordination for effective delivery of medication. PARI VORTEX® holding chamber/spacer helps minimize the technique and breath coordination required with MDIs by creating a space between the MDI and the mouth allowing the speed of the medication to slow as well as suspending the medication in the chamber for a short period. This allows you to breathe normally and maximize medication delivery to your lungs.

VORTEX® Performance Comparison

EXCELLENT AEROSOL PERFORMANCE1
EXCELLENT AEROSOL PERFORMANCE

A good seal is key to effective inhalation when using a mask with a holding chamber/spacer. PARI’s new masks show excellent sealing capabilities even when applied gently to the face. When compared to MDI alone, PARI VORTEX® with masks show an increased fine particle dose (FPD, <5μm) and low throat deposition with both salbutamol and budesonide.

1Results for FPD of pMDI, VORTEX® with baby mask and VORTEX® with child mask for salbutamol and budesonide
